In this Beauty Lab review, I test out VT’s PDRN Reedle Shot Hair Ampoule 100dL, PDRN Reedle Shot Hair Ampoule 300dL and PDRN Reedle Shot Hair Ampoule 700dL for at least one week each. Read on for the full deets!
PDRN Reedle Shot Hair Ampoule
What it is: Formulated with VT’s patented ingredients CICA REEDLE™ and PHYTO PDRN®, the revitalizing hair ampoule is designed to deeply nourish and strengthen your hair and scalp. CICA REEDLE™ consists of micro-sized, mineral-derived silica particles centered with cica extract to soothe the scalp. This unique technology boosts product absorption, allowing active ingredients to penetrate deeply into the skin for maximum effectiveness.
PHYTO PDRN® harnesses the power of plant-based PDRN extracted from Korean wild ginseng to revitalize a weak and irritated scalp. The formula is further enriched with 9GF and caffeine to stimulate hair growth, while sophora flavescens and houttuynia cordata extract deliver soothing effects.

PDRN Reedle Shot Hair Ampoule 100dL
Trial Period: One week (3 times per week)
PDRN Reedle Shot Hair Ampoule 100dL is the mildest potency, making it suitable for everyday use. I didn’t notice any dramatic changes in my hair or scalp during the trial, but I appreciate that there were no side effects.
Fellow YesStylist editor Kristie has been experiencing increased oiliness on her scalp, so I recommended her to try out the 100dL version as well. After a one-week trial, her scalp felt less greasy and irritated. Similar to my experience, Kristie didn’t experience any tingly sensation, and she found the hair ampoule’s cooling effect on the scalp to be refreshing and relaxing.
PDRN Reedle Shot Hair Ampoule 300dL
Trial Period: Two weeks (2 times per week)
The 300dL version is gentle enough for my scalp while still delivering highly effective results. Compared to the 100dL version, I experienced a slight tingling sensation, which is a normal and temporary side effect when using the product. The spicule-infused formula mimics microneedling to enhance the absorption of active ingredients into the scalp. The tingling subsided within two minutes after application, so it wasn’t a cause of concern for me.
PDRN Reedle Shot Hair Ampoule 700dL
Trial Period: One week (once a week)
For those with scalps that can tolerate more potent formulas, the PDRN Reedle Shot Hair Ampoule 700dL may be your most effective choice. Personally, I found the 700dL version too strong for my liking. While microneedling technology is known to promote healthy hair growth and improve scalp health, using a formula that exceeds your scalp’s usual tolerance may lead to side effects. In my case, I experienced dryness, flakiness and mild itching.
As a result, I switched back to the 300dL version which was more suitable for my scalp. I continued using it for an additional week, completing a full month of testing all three hair ampoules in the series.
Final Thoughts
After my 30-day trial, I was shocked to see baby hairs on my scalp (although I may have been more annoyed than amazed xD). It’s a bit frustrating to manage baby hairs on days when I want a sleek ponytail look. However, it’s a clear indication that the hair ampoule is effective in promoting speedy hair growth!
The PDRN Reedle Shot Hair Ampoule 100dL is an excellent choice for those with a sensitive scalp or anyone new to spicule-infused hair products. The version that worked best for my hair and scalp type is the PDRN Reedle Shot Hair Ampoule 300dL. My advice? Start with a small dosage and gradually build up to the 300dL or 700dL if necessary to minimize irritation.
I have a combination scalp (oily roots and dry ends), so I wash my hair every two days. As part of my post-shower routine, I apply VT’s PDRN Reedle Shot Hair Ampoule on my scalp and hairline twice a week to achieve healthier locks, and follow with a nourishing hair oil to protect from heat damage and combat frizziness.
Overall, I highly recommend the PDRN Reedle Shot Hair Ampoule for enhancing hair density and promoting healthy hair growth!
