Celebrity begins with supposedly dead fashion influencer Seo A-ri (Park Gyu-young) announcing in a live stream that she’s spilling insider secrets about the industry. Although A-ri was born wealthy, her family fell on hard times so she works as a door-to-door cosmetics salesperson to earn a living. A-ri’s life changes when she reunites with former high school classmate Oh Min-hye who is now a successful fashion influencer. Min-hye takes her to a posh party where A-ri gets involved in a spat that goes viral on social media, turning A-ri into an internet sensation. As A-ri’s influencer career blossoms and sizzles, she becomes a target of jealousy and dirty tricks from rivals.
