Mild Retinol Emulsion

I still feel it's a bit early to go for retinol products, but I got this as a present for dear mum, and she loves it and has reported improved skin, better moisture retainment and smoother lines.
Retinol does not play well with UV-radiation, so if you use it in your morning regime, remember to layer up with sunscreen. Also, vitamin C and retinol are countereffective together, it won't destroy your skin if you use them together, but you won't get the benefits of either as they cancel out each other. If you want both, use retinol at night and C in the morning.

This emulsion is creamy, milky and a little bit sticky (probably due to the Hyaluronic Acid). It contains collagen, peptides and vitamin A and is therefore best used at night. This is a great moisturizer for people who want an anti aging product that isn't too heavy. If you have very dry skin you can apply a final moisturizing step on top, but for normal or oily skin this is enough. It doesn't have any fragrance, too, which is so great for people with sensitive skin.
Hada Labo always delivers. I'm really enjoying this product.

I love hada labo products they are really very hydrating. The main star ingredient is ofcourse hyaluronic acid. This is best suited for mature skin and during summer this alone is enough for moisturizing my skin. It has retinol in it so I use it mostly in my night routine. Totally recommended.

I loved this emulsion. I have been using hada labo products since 2 months and they are so hydrating I that keep stocking more of them. Alpha line is very much suitable for mature skin it has retinol too but in the small quantity. I am already thinking to buy its refill.

can’t rave enough about this emulsion. if i had to drop all items from mu skincare routine but one, id keep this. its beyond moisturising, withing clogging pores. before i was using the kanebo sensai moist iii emulsion. and honestly.. it does not hold a candle to this one...which is weird concidering the huge price difference. id say giveit a try for yourself ❤️

I was skeptical of this since my skin is super sensitive. But having tried this for two weeks now, I can say that this is one product I will recommend. Its not a miracle, its does leave my skin feeling soft and well rested. Apply this at night, as it makes the skin sun sensitive to some extend. And all the acne prone gals, this will not make you break out!

I'm a big fan of the brand and this product lives up to its reputation. It's a milky, runny lotion so I use it after serums and before moisturiser and SPF. Only two drops are enough for the whole face and neck, it absorbs easily but leaves a nice, soft feeling. I only use it at night so can't say how well it works under makeup, but it's not sticky so should be fine! I use it to maintain the health of my skin rather than to address a specific issue, but it would work if you're skin needs moisture!

I like that this product has multiple active ingredients including retinol, so it is perfect for somebody who does not like having many steps in their skincare routine. I bought this for my husband who only uses face cleaner and moisturizer during his evening skincare, and he finds it quite easy to add this product to the routine on regular basis.
