Rohto Mentholatum - Hada Labo Gokujyun Premium Lotion

I cannot express enough words for this product! This literally saved my skin. I saw amazing I’mprovements in such a short time! After suffering from damaged skin barrier to due overexfoliation then being in the sun without sunscreen, my skin developed pie. It’s so cringe to look back at how badly I treated my skin😖
However now my skin is looking 10x better, I cannot thank this product enough! My routine including hada labo and cosrx snail mucin saved me!

I love this more than anything else. It actually works! The only 5 star I have given on this website - it really plumps my skin and made me a massive fan of Hado Labo Reccomend patting it on after essence but before serum.

I think this product is super moisturizing! Its sets/dries down 10 minuets after you apply it so it’s perfect for daytime and under makeup. It really feels like your skin is “drinking” this because it doesn’t sit on top of the skin, instead your skin retains the product’s moisture. I really like this because it’s not sticky, it has no smell, a little goes a long way, and its list of ingredients is very impressive!
I recommend that you take a look at these: Sodium Hyaluronate, Sodium Acetylated Hyaluronate, Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid, Aphanothece Sacrum Exopolysaccharides, Sodium Hyaluronate Crosspolymer.

All the ingredients are safe by my standards, but if you are someone who is extra picky, I picked out the two that might be questionable. This product is not vegan because it contains PEG-75 which comes from sheep’s wool. The only ingredient I think is slightly questionable for safety is Phenoxyethanol. Because of this, you shouldn’t apply this product to broken skin or if you are a nursing mother or an infant.

Let me just say American skincare is lagging by a millennia. When all you want is to be moisturized but all that's available are products with fragrance, mineral oils, and the first ingredient is water (but costs more than 20$). I saved this product in my favorites. Debated for months before ordering because the refund policy is basically saying you get no refund. I'm so glad I tried it though. I use a few drops (4) without applying pressure to the container. The texture is like a serum; not thin and not too thick. I follow this layer up w the hado labo milk. The hydration I get from this cocktail is ridiculous. Like I'm honestly upset with myself for waiting this long to purchase it. My skin is dehydrated and sensitive fyi. I love being hydrated w/o the inclusion of unnecessary ingredients for a decent price.

This essence ranks as 86% on Skin Charisma as being a clean ingredient list. It has 3 moisturizing ingredients dedicated to those with dry skin. I use it in conjunction with some aloe moisturizer. I find that if my face is still wet when I apply this, the hyaluronic acid moisturizes/expands much better and evenly.

I bought this after hearing that my favorite YouTuber Stephanie Nicole loved the Hada Labo Mentholatum products and she is definitely correct when says they are amazing!! I love this Hyrolaunic lotion and will continue to repurchase, although you do get so much product for your money I won't need to for a while and that's ok. The very first time I used it my skin felt moisturized but not oily, it was firmer and I could definitely see a difference in my fine lines.

I have combination dehydrated skin and have used plenty of western brands' HA formulation but no way was I going to purchase those again when Hada Labo is offering this jumbo sized goody. The price point just cannot be matched. This pure and plain no fuss hydration and plump skin on a budget. At 170 ml you're gonna want to give your neck some love as well :) I would advice to actually follow the application method recommended by HL in their demo videos.

If you've heard of Deciem you'll be aware that they have at least 4 HA based products ranging from $6.5 to $55 for 30 ml of product!! I have used the Hylamide Sub Q with 5 molecular weights of HA acid at $42 for 30ml. Now yes that does have many other active ingredients but if you look at a purely HA serum from them then their cheapest offering is a 3 molecular weighted one by The Ordinary at $6.5 for 30ml, followed by a HA booster with 5 molecular weights by Hylamide ($25/30ml). So no way was I going to purchase that when Hada Labo is offering this jumbo sized goody. Just plain no fuss hydration and plump skin on a budget. Love this serum! Super hydrating. The price is unbeatable for the amount of product you get. This contains urea as well, which is another great benefit.

This hyalouronic acid works great. It makes my skin so plump. I have reorder this four times already and gave one as a gift to my sister and it is part of her daily routine.

I only use 2 drops at a time and this HA is very hydrating. It leaves my skin soft and plump. I have sensitive,red and oily skin and this has definitely helped to calm the rosacea. I will repurchase as this is now one of my holy grail products.

I have aging and dry skin and I've been trying to find skin products that can help me with my concerns. This product provided nourishment and hydration. It makes my skin feel smooth and totally hydrated. Considering I have a lot of bad habits like sleeping late and smoking, products that work in the kind of lifestyle I have means it is really effective and even more so to those with healthy life style.

I have combination skin and was happy to see that this product helped moisturize and plump up the drier areas while controlling sebum production on my nose.
It's great value, with a formula that contains 5 different hyaluronic acids, especially when compared to other HA products out there.
One thing to note is that there's no instruction on this site and the bottle packaging is completely in Japanese. I recommend looking up how to use it (i.e. what step in your routine, how to best apply... etc.) to make the most out of the product.

I love this lotion so much, as well as the other Hada Labo lotions. I put this on right after I finish washing my face, but I put it on while my skin is still wet. I find that this really helps the product to sink in better, and my face feels way more hydrated than if I put it onto dry skin. I will never ever be without a bottle of hada labo lotion ever again! Plus it's unscented which is great for sensitive, red, irritated skin. If you're in need of hydration, get one of these lotions. The Rich version is also amazing.
