My first impression of these were, "Wow, these smell like mustard." Which is whatever since I'm pretty sure I can put these in the wash, possibly dryer. But, after trying them on and wearing then a bit there were a couple things I noticed.
First, loose strings, which is also not a huge deal because you can either cut or burn it off (which of course also helps to prevent future unraveling) but there was a good amount which made it a little annoying; but once again, no big deal.
Second thing I noticed was the elastic tends to creep up. My theory for this is because the knees aren't given extra room, so your knee bumps against the pants a lot, causing the elastic to creep up.
Which brings me to my third point, the knee area. It felt a little inflexible which I mean, I'm not gonna be doing acrobatics in these, but I did think these were gonna be a little more flexible than they are.
Last but certainly not least, point 4 which is there's a hole in my pants. From the way it looks, it seems like it was just an overlooked stitch and I mean, me personally I can sew, so this isn't a deal breaker for me and I can just finish the seams. However, I know many people can't sew, or at least very well, let alone have time for it; so I figured I would bring that up.
For all of the above stated reasons, I believe it's a 3 star, there's just a lot of things that make it kinda crummy, but also it's decent and it looks for the most part as advertised. I only paid less than $20 for these, but they were on sale and maybe that's why they're so cheap, so I can't complain too much.
I will say the material that the pants themselves are made out of feel really durable and I feel like they'll last; maybe not the stitching, but that's replaceable. For a pair of pretty fashionable pants, I would say they're pretty good, especially for being so cheap, unless they're not on sale and they end up costing $80. I don't think these are worth $80 or anywhere close to that, around $20 is fair given to current quality of the pants.
Sorry this review is a little long, but I hope it's helpful!
