This is a very popular product and now I see why! It fills in but you cannot see product buildup on the skin! I have very sparse brows and normally heavy products are too visible. This is the perfect balance of colour and staying power!

If you have dark brows or "asian brows" lol, this is the one for you. It only activates with the oil on your brows therefore you cant go overboard with the fill in. Highly recommend for beginnners too!

Shu uemura's hard formula was my first brow pencil and I absolutely loved it (hence the re-purchase). I don't even think I will try out other brands' brow pencils because nothing can beat this. I've used the stone grey shade before and thought it was too dark for my hair colour (I have the typical dark asian hair but it appears slightly red under natural light) so bought the seal brown shade this time and I really like it! It better matches with my natural hair colour.

Perfect color for my fair skin and medium-dark brown hair. In most US brands brown or brunette is too warm, ash brown is too light, and black/ebony is too dark. The pencil is really long and lasts forever

First pencil I found that has a cool enough color without being too dark. My eyebrow hairs are dark ash brown but getting sparse, this fills them in without looking obviously drawn on. Used for 2 weeks before I had to sharpen. I used a regular sharpener but when I pick up another one I’ll try to make it into the naginata shape.

I got this in seal brown and this is probably the most natural looking color for darker hair. but 1 thing to note is the special technique needed to sharpen it, which it seems you can only achieve by taking it to the shu uemura counter and I didn't know abt that beforehand

I bought the color Seal Brown and it seriously is the best eyebrow pencil out there (all the good reviews are well deserved). Stays put all day and does not smudge. Color is perfect neutral brown. Love it!

This is one of the best eyebrow pencil available in the market in my opinion. Shu Uemura offers many different colours too so you have options. I bought the shade stone gray and seal brown and I like them both. I use stone gray when my hair is darker and seal brown when I have lighter brown hair. The pencil is quite pigmented and defines the eyebrows well. It has a lot of product as well so although it's not the cheapest eyebrow pencil, it will last for a long time. The only issue is that it's easier to use when you sharpen the pencil in a certain way.

The Pencil is hard like the name said. It will only give the colour when it touch oil from the brow hair. i like it very much because it give a natural look. little goes a long way so it's ok for the price.

I used to have stone grey for this pencil, but It was too dark for me. I have very black hair and this color still looks natural. I love everything about this pencil! It doesn't smudge, it stays on your eyebrow for a whole day. You won't regret buying this! It can be pricey but I think it is worth it! Also, you can use this pencil for a long time.

I just love this eyebrow pencil so much... I have black hair and I always wanted my eyebrow look little lighter than my hair because black eyebrow makes me look bold and thick. Always the most trusted brand for eyebrow. It does not draw on skin which does not have brows. Basically it works with our oily glands on our brows which gives you that perfect shading. Don’t need to shave the pencil actually as I use a normal sharpener to sharpen it, it works just as perfect! easy to draw and shape eyebrows. The colour intensity is just nice and not too harsh. The colour seal brown is the perfect match for my black hair. Will definitely repurchase it online especially during sale! Not forget to mention, this brow pencil can last me more than a year

Definitely the best eyebrow pencil ever! I’ve tried so many product before discovering this one. You need applied foundation before, otherwise it doesn’t show the color on your skin, and it’s so subtle and natural (and “human”), the shade, that you won’t to be afraid about any errors. Perfect for beginners or shaking hands! You should sharpening it in the right shape, someone can be annoyed by this, but I find it somehow enjoyable (like a little ritual ah ah 😌)
