MVP Essence Toner
December 19, 2017
I'd bought Pyunkang Yul's Essence Toner just to help address a skin issue - itchy, dry, with ezcema-like patches. The essence toner is lightweight, viscous out of the bottle but turns watery when applied. (It's never any less fascinating watching the drops roll around on a cotton pad before they sink into the cotton.)
It absorbs well - so much so I've been able to tell when my skin needs less instead of more, depending on how fast it vanishes into my skin. I've never been able to sense that. More fascination!
It soothed and chucked moisture into my skin when it needed it badly. With everything else I was using, in under a week the dry skin had gone, the flakes were down to nothing, the redness was fading, and I was starting to get a slight glowy sheen. I'd been assuming it did nothing much or was just something of a background worker when I overhauled my entire skincare regime then, but now, I'm appreciating it more and more for what it does. This thing is perfect. It's almost good enough as a standalone moisturiser. Almost! Currently, I'm pairing it with Cosrx's snail moisturiser and boiii I never knew I could look Insta-worthy straight out of bed but gaddamn, I am. Whew.
