SammyIt's the little changes that countJanuary 4, 2020I originally bought the comb and the brush in the first set of purchases i bought from makanai cosmetics not expecting much, the comb for myself and the brush for my sister. This brush surprised me the most, not only are the bristles uniform, flexible, but they are so comfortable on the scalp and don't tangle in your hair. There were multiple times i bought a paddle brush with the ends that have been coated, and through use it just falls off and you end up scrapping the scalp of your head (really not a pleasant experience), and since then this was my only other brush I bought. The shape and size is very ergonomic; it doesn't take up a lot of space and the curve allows your palm to sit into the handle comfortably, so you don't end up with a cramp in your hand when you brush your hair (especially if you have long hair, or your hair is of higher maintenance). The bristles are thin, flexible and comes in two heights the tallest bristles sit on the outer edges and the shortest towards the inner most-centre of the brush. I've never seen this before on other plastic bristle brushes I purchased, but it really makes a difference when you brush your hair! because of the shorter bristles being on the centre you don't need to apply pressure on your brush when you brush against the curve of your head, it effortlessly glides down the curves of your head and, the bristles feel very comfortable on the scalp. The handle of the brush is very substantial and is essentially connected to the head of the brush, so you won't have an awkward instance where your adhesive of your brush loosens and your handle separates itself from the brush head. If you are prone to tangles and dandruff, this might be a good brush for you. I have used this for over 2 months at least, and I do gravitate towards this brush as opposed to their camellia oil comb.
A few strokes for detangled, fluffy hair. I have straight hair thats relatively thick, so it does tangle at the nape and i feel that with some patience, the brush does all the work and you end up loosing less hair from trying to pull the brush through your hair as it just glides nicely. I bought two more of these, for myself and as a gift because I think its a great everyday thing to invest in and an underrated gift item.
