eeveeSave Your Coin and Look ElsewhereOctober 8, 2019I got The Cove tip to make it easier to draw on my wing. Using it is not that simple though. It does not really stamp with the tip, but instead an circular small oval shape without a point. I swatched it on my hand and I had to put pressure to get that tip, but on the eyes the skin is too sensitive and thin to press like that. I was disappointed because I planned to just swoop this over my lash line but it would come out too thick and wobbly since the tip is not flat enough. In other words it’s too dimensional to have the exact shape of “the cove’s” pointed tip.
So, because of that problem, I had to do a lot of clean up. However, this eyeliner is very difficult to clean the way I do it with water and a q-tip. The eyeliner would smear and blacken my eye area, and the eyeliner would ball up. I think you would need a makeup remover to clean it instead. When reapplying it, the eyeliner can remove itself the way that whiteboard markers will erase themselves when you draw over it. I can clean that up with concealer but the worst part is that this thing smudges a whole lot. I had to do about five touch ups in two hours. I would not recommend this for anything other than short less than an hour errands or staying at home, and definitely not in any kind of warm weather. It will give you terrible raccoon eyes. I think I should have expected this because I have oily skin and this isn’t waterproof, but I never had a problem with eyeliner smearing/melting before. I am glad that I got this on sale because it’s not worth six dollars to me. Will not be repurchasing.
The photos that I included are of several days because I didn’t want to judge it just based on one time. I have worn it about four or five times now with the same results. It always transfers to my upper lids and keep in mind that I was not sweating while I wore the eyeliner. I was in an air-conditioned car and at the grocery store or laundromat, for 2-3 hours or so. This would definitely not last all day, or even over 1 hour without touch-ups. You can see in the picture that the edges of my eyeliner became very wobbly and smeared, and it completely melted on my lids. I was horrified that I had walked around like that, haha. And I had been retouching all day as well, so that sucked but oh well.
AliciaHard to applyOctober 28, 2019I wouldn't repurchase this. The round tip is really hard and harsh to apply on my lids. It tugs and doesn't deposit the black liner on my lids properly. I end up having to go over and over again. The black isn't very black either.
