I have long, fine, color treated hair. This has become my primary leave-in treatment. It gives incredible shine, makes the hair thicker and fuller (I guess by restoring protein), and enhances my natural wave. A little goes a long way. I do find that I need to use some kind of moisturizing oil on top of this essence (my current favorite is Innisfree Camelia oil), otherwise my hair can feel a little crunchy and tangles easier (which are clear signs of light protein overload). So, for those of you who have curly hair and/or coarse texture or are going through protein detox – I’d say be a bit cautious with this product to avoid the protein overload. If you are looking for something more moisturizing vs protein pack you might want to try another Lador product - Keratin power glue (despite its deceiving name). That one leaves my hair completely straight and frizz free, but if you go overboard with it your hair will look limp and “dirty”, showing clear signs of moisture overload. At least this is my personal experience with these products and that’s how I figured the difference between the two and can decide which one to use depending on my hair’s immediate need. Hope this is helpful.
