03 Ash Brown and 04 Deep Brown

I felt compelled to leave a review just in case anyone has the same problem I had and is hoping this is the answer. I have dark brown hair and dark, bushy eyebrows with some patchiness. When I try to pencil them in--no matter how lightly--my eyebrows look crazy intense, so I've been looking for a way to make my eyebrow hair lighter so I can finally have "neat" brows that aren't so heavy-looking.
I initially bought 04. It helped a little, but the color is just a tiny bit lighter than my natural brow color, and I was hoping for something lighter. It basically just made my brows a little more visibly brown rather than ambiguously black. I ended up giving it to my mom. It works pretty well for her purposes. She has faint, graying brows, and she likes her brow color to be somewhat darker than her blonde hair. She was really happy with it!
Then I tried 03, and THAT was the right color for me. I was afraid that the tone of the color would look off with my hair color, but no, it matches well enough. If you have dark brows and want to make them less intense, I think 03 is your best bet. It's the best brow product I've found for this so far. I don't think you'll have problems with the tone of the color, particularly if you pencil in the "right" color underneath it and don't apply it too heavily.
