Really does whiten!

After hearing so many people rave about the benefits of adding a Vitamin D serum to your skincare routine, I started doing a little research. When your Vitamin C serum is exposed to air (oxygen) it immediately starts to oxidize and loses its efficacy. So from the minute you open the bottle, the product is slowly losing power every night that you apply it. This Elizavecca product is different because it has two parts: the serum (which is packed with whitening ingredients) and a small vial of crystallized Vitamin C. Because they are kept separate, there is no oxidation until you mix them together. The product does come with a tiny dropper bottle so you can mix small batches, but I wouldn't recommend using it, as the dropper doesn't reach all the way to the bottom of the bottle, and again, you are losing efficacy if you are storing the mixed product. To use this product I shake a little crystallized Vitamin C from the vial into the palm of my hand, add a few drops of serum, mix them together with my finger until the Vitamin C crystals have dissolved, and then apply it to my face. Occasionally not all the crystals have dissolved in the serum, so you may feel a little grit upon application, but that's okay, you're just getting a little extra exfoliation! It is additional work, but because you are mixing your serum fresh each night, you are getting maximum power from your Vitamin C. After about a week, I noticed smoother skin and that the hyperpigmentation spots on my face were fading - this product really does whiten! I'm so impressed with the science and the results.
