BRTC - Pore Magic Heating Gel

I bought this for my brother to help balance his oily/acne prone skin and it's definitely working so far. Gets rid of all of the impurities underneath the skin as well leaving the skin soft and fresh. There is no scent and it feels like it's barely there.

So I'm in no way a skincare expert or beauty blogger or whatever, just an average person whose knowledge of her skin goes as far as "I have combination/sensitive skin." You get more technical than that and I'm lost. I've had issues with acne all my life and started trying to actually do something about it in my late 20s. I bought this thing because it sounded like it could be interesting to at least try. Plus it was on a pretty sweet discount at the time.

I wasn't expecting miracles but that's surprisingly kinda what I got. I've used this stuff 4 times since I received it now and just. Wow. I mean the effects were noticeable from the 1st time, the other 3 times just have made it clear it's not a fluke. This stuff is absolute actual magic on my skin. 1st time I applied it I spent a lot of time skeptically frowning at myself in the mirror while I rubbed the little brush head around in circles for a few minutes, but after I rinsed it off I couldn't BELIEVE how my skin felt. Soft like I'd applied and let set a velvety moisturizer and smooth, oh my god SO smooth. Dead, drying skin around my nose just gave up and peeled away, and active spots that had been rising all but vanished, ones that had been on the way to healing looked like I'd hit fast forward several days. Even discolored and dark spots evened out considerably.

I'm not saying it immediately turned my troubled complexion into perfect, airbrushed magazine skin. This is a review, not a sales pitch, reality not fiction. It didn't fix everything wrong with my skin or mean I didn't need to do anything else at all, but it had a very immediate, very visible, very positive effect, and the next morning it looks even better. I will absolutely be getting more of this, even if I have to pay the undiscounted price.

The only cons are that the dispenser itself isn't the best design ever, so it can get a bit messy. The gel isn't a thick sort of consistency, it's a little runny, so when it comes out of the little bristle head it will drip down the body of the dispenser no matter what you do or how you hold it. It will also drip down your face, so if you apply it above the eyebrows you only have a few minutes before it drips into your eyes. The upshot is that's all the time you need to leave it on anyways, so if you're in danger of it getting in your eyes it's already time to rinse.

For me, the few negatives of this product are mainly technical, but the positives are several. Hope this helps you decide.

It’s a good pore cleanser. It makes my skin feel smooth. Kind of works like a mild exfoliant. It’s not something I would repurchase though as it doesn’t do much to heal acne or prevent future breakouts.
