Rohto Mentholatum - Skin Aqua UV Super Moisture Sonnenschutz-Essenz LSF50+ PA++++

I was really sad when I found out the Sarafit had been discontinued because that was my HG for sunscreen. I have oily skin, and that was the only thing that didn't make me feel or look like a greaseball. This one is very similar to that one, except it has the added Tinosorb M, which makes the texture of the formula more opaque. There's not really any white cast though, but I'm excited because apparently the Tinosorb M has the capability to reflect UV rays like physical filters do too, while still being a chemical filter. It does apply more dewy, and takes awhile to dry down, but when it does, I wouldn't say it's a matte look, but it's no longer so dewy. Anyway, this has become my go to now and I'll definitely be purchasing more of it.

Some sunscreens I've tried that didn't work for me in this heat include:
Klairs UV Airy Essence (left my face tight and then oilier)
Purito Centella (left my face oily)
Purito Comfy Water Block (this was okay for oily skin but I felt like it didn't have enough protection at <3% zinc and titanium oxide combined and I also felt like it didn't have much staying power)
Make P:rem Blue UV Sun Fluid (made me face feel really tight and was really hard to wash off)
Biore Watery Essence (good but it has a lot of fragrance)
Kose Suncut Waterproof Essence (very sticky, takes more than 30 minutes to dry down)
Scinic Enjoy Mild Sun Essence Ex Spf50+ Pa++++ (goes on with kind of a shimmer which I didn't like, and it does dry down, but I felt like there was a shine to it - also contains sorbitan oleate which I feel like clogs my pores)
B-Lab I'm am Sorry Sun Cream (this one is good, nice thick cream that dries down matte and has no alcohol, but i found that it contained sorbitan oleate, which I think clogs my pores)

I really enjoyed using this sunscreen; it is not greasy/heavy and is fragrance-free (although I do detect a faint sunscreen-like odour, which does not bother me). It works very well as a daily sunscreen, with re-application. However, it does not claim to be suitable for heavy sun exposure. Despite the alcohol, it is not drying at all; the vehicle is very moisturising. I particularly enjoyed the fact that it disappears into the skin, despite having Tinosorb M (which is a hybrid filter that is typically nano-sized, and can clump up with re-application). The addition of Tinosorb M also provides wonderful UVA protection, as it also covers the broader UVA1 range (greater than 380 nm), which is an area that Tinosorb S misses. In addition, this sunscreen also has Tinosorb S and Uvinul A Plus for additional, comprehensive UVA protection.

This is the best SPF I have ever used, surpassing a lot of well-known K-beauty products that aim at hydration as well. The consistency of the cream is rich but not oily nor heavy at all. The skin absorbs it promptly and immediately looks radiant and healthy. Having a high SPF that also has a good protection range (PA++++ being the highest, I believe) and doesn't feel heavy, doesn't create a white cast nor does it have a strong smell is a great plus. The hydrating aspect of this SPF is also very pleasant and absolutely perfect for dry climates - hot or cold. I have not used it in humid climates, so I am not sure if its richness will cause any issues with acne-prone skin, but since this is supposed to be non-comedogenic, I hope it will be fine.

In 2019, my go to was Skin Aqua's UV Gel - it really was perfect. However, in 2020 they decided to reformulate it without Uvinal A so the formula only has Tinosorb S as a UVA absorbent. Since I wear this indoors only, I am looking to have more reassuring UVA protection since this penetrates through windows.

Pretty disappointed about this change, I then looked into the new 2020 formula line up and was pleasantly surprised with this Essence version. Not only does this have Tinosorb S to protect against UVA, but it also has the addition of a new broad spectrum organic filter Tinosorb M which covers UVB, UVA and UVAII, so I was very excited to try it.

All of the reasons I love the Gel remain in this formula: water and sweat resistant, powerful broad spectrum coverage with additional skin calming and plumping benefits with no white cast (which is rare for Tinosorb M sunscreens).

The only con of this is the fact that it is less product for a higher price compared to the Gel (80ml v 140ml). These sunscreens do tend to go on discount quite often and if you stockpile more than 8, the quantity to price difference gets minimal.

i habe tried a lottt of spfs. most of them were meh some were okay or good this one is REALLY good. like perfect good. it's super affordable for a big bottle that lasts even with 2ml applied daily or reapplication. it's fragrance free and packed with amazing hydrating and moistruizing in ingredients. i am usually sensitive to alcohol and i had no issue here. it has zero white cast and dries down SO FAST (probably thanks to the alcohol). it leaves a beautiful healtjy radiant finish and layers amazingly with itself and makeup. will 1000% repurchase and try other hada labo spfs

This sunscreen is very lightweight and goes on almost invisible. It’s quite hydrating and it has a great combination of filters. The tube is quite big, a thing I appreciate because those tiny 40/50 ml facial sunscreen bottles sometimes are just annoying.. so all in all this is a great one for everyday use!

texture magnifique, invisible sur la peau. par contre moi qui ai la peau à tendance sèche en hiver je dois bien hydrater avant avec sérum et crème riche. Très jolie avec ou sans maquillage.

ne brille pas du tout, crème fondante et pas du tout grasse. Matifiante , du coup bien hydrater sa peau au préalable si vous avez la peau sèche en hiver.

Creamy, hydrating, soothing, larger size than many brands and good coverage. So many things to like about this sunscreen. Good filters, the ability to apply a butt-load and lovely finish. Also has a slight scent of cookie dough, i think? Give it a go, I think it'd be great for all skin types..

I love this product. So light and airy. Not sticky or tacky at all. Leaves no.cast. Good for my sensitive skin. Used to only use mineral sunscreen but they are either too oily or dry me out. Same with the old filters, they sting my eyes. But this has modern filters in it. My daughter and husband love it too. Too bad it is not cruelty free!!!

Excellente crème solaire, qui a un fini mat, pas d'effet blanc, ni d'effet gras. Elle ne colle fin bref elle est top .

I gave this 4 stars originally but I think it’s worthy of the 5 stars. This is a brand and sunscreen that I trust and considering it’s an spf 50 it’s very lightweight and comfortable on the skin.

I like this sunscreen! considering it has SPF 50 the formula is nice. It can leave a tiny amount of whitecast and stickiness when I use a lot though. Works fine under makeup.

when I applied if I feel alcohol smell but with in few seconds it dissappear. I like this sunscreen.
