I was desperately looking for a daily cleanser that can remove sunscreen and foundation without irritating skin. As a loyal fan of Hada Labo\u2019s<\/a> Goku-Jyun (meaning \u201csuper hydrating\u201d) Hyaluronic Acid Lotion<\/a>, I chose to test the brand’s Goko-Jyun Oil Cleansing Makeup Remover<\/a>.<\/p>\n Like all other Hada Labo products, the brand’s Oil Cleansing Makeup Remover is enriched with hyaluronic acid for hydration, and is free from mineral oils, alcohol, and artificial fragrances and colorings. It’s also mildly acidic to suit the skin\u2019s pH level.<\/p>\n In addition, the formula includes pure olive oil to dissolve waterproof makeup, and jojoba seed oil for added moisture. The two oils also provide antioxidant and anti-inflammatory benefits, respectively. However, the yellowish color that you see is not from the oils, but instead from the tinted plastic wrapping on the pump bottle. The cleansing oil itself is transparent and unscented. Make sure your hands and face are dry. Pretty simple, right?<\/p>\n To show the oil’s cleansing power, I swatched a combination of light and heavy makeup on my hand:<\/p>\n As shown, the oil easily cleanses light makeup such as eyeshadow, blush, sunscreen, liquid foundation and lipstick, but struggles to remove mascara and lip tint.
