SPOILER ALERT: The following may contain spoilers from Jojo’s Bizarre Adventures: Stone Ocean.
Leo: Narciso Anasui
Despite only briefly appearing in part one of Stone Ocean, Narciso Anasui undoubtedly left an unforgettable impression with his androgynous yet flamboyant appeal. Anasui will play an important role in the latter half of the story, as he aids heroine Jolyne Cujoh in her mission to defeat Enrico Pucci. Aside from his luscious fuchsia pink locks, Anasui’s look is mostly remembered for the various footprint appliques across his chest and waist, a sartorial reference to his Stand power, Diver Down.
Styling notes: Despite only briefly appearing in part one of Stone Ocean, Narciso Anasui undoubtedly left an unforgettable impression with his androgynous yet flamboyant appeal. Gwess first appears in Stone Ocean as Jolyne’s cellmate at the ultra security Green Dolphin Street Prison. As a character, Gwess is a capricious woman with extreme mood swings and she’s extremely possessive of her belongings. Style-wise, she wears a matching striped co-ord set comprised of a bustier crop top and snug-fitting pants, plus a bright green jacket and over-the-knee boots.
Styling notes: A style lesson to take from Gwess is to experiment with mixing contrasting colors. Combining a bright green jacket over a matching striped set instantly adds a layer of biker girl chic to her look, while a thick headband gives off streetwear appeal.
Libra: Weather Report
Weather Report is a Gemini, but there’s no denying that his strong sense of justice and style screams Libran tendencies. He is first introduced in Stone Ocean as an amnesiac who is mellow, quiet and eccentric. Weather regularly wears a navy blue bodysuit with intricate cut outs and a golden codpiece at the front. He completes the look with a flat-topped buffalo hat.
Styling notes: You don’t often see someone strutting down the street in a skin-tight bodysuit with a codpiece, but we can emulate Weather’s aesthetic and vibe through tops with strategic cut outs, or flamboyant accessories like a furry hat.
Scorpio: Johngalli A.
Blind assassin Johngalli A. demonstrates an undying loyalty to DIO, who has been the series’ longest standing antagonist since the first season, Phantom Blood. As one of the first enemy Stand users that Jolyne Cujoh and her father, Jotaro Kujo, encounters, Johngalli A. undoubtedly left a strong first impression on many viewers. Sartorially, Johngalli A. wears a simple ensemble featuring an eyelet-studded necktie, a plain shirt and slim-fit trousers with circular cut outs.
Styling notes: As Johngalli A.’s aesthetic exudes neo-romanticism, his general vibe can be translated to your everyday look with a silky shirt and sleek pants, ideally in his iconic purple color palette. For accessories, jewelry with bullet-shaped elements − like a necklace with a bullet pendant to reference his sniper identity − offers a more subtle way to incorporate his aesthetic into your outfit.
Foo Fighters, who mostly goes by F.F., is an enemy-turned-ally who becomes close friends with Jolyne Cujoh and Ermes Costello. In her human form, F.F. is always seen in a plain jumpsuit with triangular buckles fastened on the straps.
Styling notes: The obvious reference to take from F.F. is her jumpsuit, which gives off a dungarees-meet-boiler-suit appeal. For a casual look, dungarees or a denim jumpsuit are easy-to-style wardrobe must-haves. Depending on the cut, they can be styled up or down for different occasions. The same applies to a boiler suit-style jumpsuit, which can be both an effortless party piece and work-appropriate attire.
Capricorn: Miuccia Miuller
Tactical, ruthless and dedicated to her work, Miuccia Miuller (Miu Miu) is one of the head guards at the Green Dolphin Street Prison. In the later chapters of Stone Ocean, Miu Miu disguises herself as an inmate. Her outfit is an oversized sweater with eye-like pompoms, paired with a mini skirt featuring bright pink lettering, holey tights and green boots.
Styling notes: Miu Miu’s bizarre outfit gives off late 90s punk vibes with its eccentric styling. More wearable pieces that reference aspects of her ensemble can be used for everyday looks. For instance, instead of the plushy skin-like sweater, opt for a pared-down version with ruching and gatherings that still retains the oversized top and fitted bottom silhouette.
