It’s always been tough for my skin whenever the seasons change, and as it transitioned into spring this year, I noticed that I was breaking out more than usual. In order to keep my skin clear and less inflamed, I like to incorporate skin care products that soothe and calm my complexion. That’s where Korean skin care brand PURITO comes in.

PURITO carries a Centella Green Level line that’s perfect for skin that’s acting up. All products from the line have one thing in common: each is formulated with centella asiatica extract, which is known to soothe blemishes and reduce inflammation. Since the line has received so many positive reviews, I decided to put PURITO’s Centella Green Level Calming Toner, Buffet Serum and Safe Sun SPF50+ PA++++ to the test to see if they could help keep my skin clear until it gets used to warmer weather. Keep reading to find out if they did!

PURITO’s Centella Green Level Calming Toner

Main ingredients: Panthenol, witch hazel and centella asiatica extract

My experience: I love trying out new toners because they give you instant results, which I definitely felt when using the Centella Green Level Calming Toner. I use this in both my morning and evening skin care routine to boost its effects, and I already felt changes in my skin after just one use!

After my cleansing steps, I add a few drops of the toner onto a cotton pad and gently swipe it across my face. With its lightweight texture, the toner absorbs into my skin straight away and my complexion feels very hydrated. Some of my blemishes also appear quite inflamed after cleansing but this toner does a great job in calming any signs of redness.

PURITO’s Centella Green Level Buffet Serum

Main ingredients: Ceramide, collagen and centella asiatica extract

My experience: If you have a damaged skin barrier, I recommend adding the Centella Green Level Buffet Serum to your daily routine. This serum has not only helped keep my skin clear of blemishes, it’s also strengthened my skin barrier — all thanks to ceramide!

I use two pumps of this serum on my face as well as my neck and it always leaves my complexion feeling extra moisturized. I was also quite shocked when I started waking up to zero pimples after  incorporating the serum into my skin care routine. This serum has become a must-have in my skin care vanity and I’ll be relying on it whenever my skin feels troubled.

PURITO’s Centella Green Level Safe Sun SPF50+ PA++++

Main ingredients: Hyaluronic acid, tocopherol and centella asiatica extract

My experience: The last skin care product that I tried from PURITO’s Centella Green Level line is this sunscreen. I have to be wary when trying out sunscreens as some textures are quite thick and tend to clog my pores, which leads to blemishes. Luckily, the Centella Green Level Safe Sun SPF50+ PA++++ features a light and watery texture that spreads easily, and doesn’t break me out.

This sunscreen claims to protect skin without leaving a sticky feeling or a white cast and I’m glad to say that this is 100% true! It feels so lightweight on my skin that it doesn’t even feel like I’m wearing sunscreen at all, making it the ideal sunscreen to use throughout spring and summer. I also really like its refreshing scent but if you’re quite sensitive to smell, you can try PURITO’s Centella Green Level Unscented Sun.

My final thoughts

These three skin care products from PURITO have made my transition into spring a lot easier. The best thing is that my skin didn’t react to any of them and the less breakouts I have, the less stressed I’ll be. especially during these tough times.

Overall, the Calming Toner, Buffet Serum and Safe Sun products are light enough for warmer weather but I’m not sure how moisturizing they’d be during colder months. If you have acne-prone skin or a compromised skin barrier, I highly recommend trying the Centella Green Level line, especially the Buffet Serum as it also protects your skin from environmental stressors and strengthens your skin barrier.
