She’s up by 5am every day and juggles her time between managing and creating content for her personal channel as well as hosting and co-producing Beauty Within, a page dedicated to answering all your skin care, makeup and wellness queries.

Take us through your typical day. Do you have a routine or is each day different for you?

Each day has historically been very, very different – from the time I get home from work to when I sleep to when I wake up to what I do throughout the day. I get restless easily and like to believe I thrive when I’m spontaneous, which is half true and half incredibly stress-inducing, but I digress.

Starting 3 weeks ago, I finally recommitted to waking up early after 2 years of on-and-off struggles. Yay! I’m up before 5:30am and in the office before 6am to meditate for an hour and read before the craziness of the workday. Going into the office with coworkers who are like family helps encourage me to show up every morning and keep me accountable.

A typical day at work is some combination of emails, research, scriptwriting, filming, editing, and calls/meetings with brands for both my personal channel and Beauty Within. Most nights I get home just in time for my skin care routine and bedtime, and I’m perfectly content with that. For now 🙂

How do you manage your time creating your own content while also being host and co-producer of Beauty Within?

I don’t. :’) Maintaining balance is hard. You know that college Venn diagram meme where you can only pick two between Study, Sleep, or Social Life? I’ve been going hard on the Study (in this case, work) and Sleep front. A few years back, I identified the most important things in my life as my spiritual practice, family, and work. Over time, I’ve either minimized or cut out anything that fell out of these three priorities. Going to one extreme has worked for the time being, but this grandma is ready to start incorporating more balance and social into her life.

Where or who do you get your inspiration from?

Anywhere and everywhere! I’m a firm believer that you can find inspiration daily by being fully present and aware of your own thoughts and surroundings. For my personal channel, I get a lot of inspiration from self-help and business books for video ideas, and K-Dramas for cinematography and feels. Mr. Sunshine & Hotel Del Luna anyone? Ugh my hearttt.

What are your favorite ways to recharge?

Meditating has made such a positive impact on my day-to-day that it deserves the first spot. Why do we always put off doing things that we know will be good for us?? I also *greatly* appreciate skin care after a long day. Calling mom and/or dad. Sleeping in on the weekends. Spending a full day at home in PJs in complete silence. Spending a full day outdoors frolicking with good company. Tidying and organizing. Reading. Watching Spirited Away for the nth time. Ahh, the simple joys in life.

How are you transitioning your skin care routine from summer to fall? 

Since I have dry/dehydrated/epically parched skin, it’s time to bring out the thick creams and oils! I love Make P:rem’s Hydrate Me Micro Tension Cream and have been reaching for more soothing, hydrating and calming ingredients like cica (Purito’s Centella line – actually any product from Purito – is gold) and mugwort (I’m From and Holika Holika) that can be used year-round.
