NCT is the ever-growing boy band from K-pop powerhouse SM Entertainment, which also houses big names such as EXO, Girls’ Generation, Super Junior, TVXQ and many more. The group’s name, an abbreviation of Neo Culture Technology, conveys NCT’s concept of continuous and limitless addition of members and sub-units. The group’s sub-units include NCT U, NCT 127, NCT Dream and WayV, with each unit promoting a different image and vibe.
Canadian member Mark is a rapper and vocalist of the sub-units NCT 127 and NCT U (he also officially graduated from NCT Dream in late 2018). His boyish charm and laid-back attitude is reflected in his off-stage outfits of mainly street-style pieces. Mark’s casual and comfortable style is perfect to emulate during the blistering summer holidays!
A striped crew neck t-shirt is perfect for summer, and this piece would fit right in with Mark’s usual attire! Blue is his favorite color and this tee features cool blues with white and yellow for that summer flair.
Comfort is a main factor in the idol’s cool outfits; that’s why I’ve paired the loose-fit top with equally loose-fitting shorts. While the beige shade isn’t something you’d normally see on Mark, the shorts complement the warm tones of the top’s yellow stripes while the vibrant accents on the side seams tie in with the strap detailing on his backpack and cap.
Ask Mark for his go-to item and he’ll tell you without hesitation that hats are his favorite accessories. From vintage bucket hats to cozy beanies, he’s got them all, and the baseball cap is a staple that can never go wrong. I’ve chosen a simple black design accented with a contrasting embroidered red strap that falls from the crown to the back and matches the strappy black bag.
To stay true to his airport look, I’ve styled Mark with a backpack but with my own personal touch. The singer’s bags are more low-key and simple but I prefer bags with as many pockets as possible when I travel! That’s why I chose a small backpack with a multitude of compartments and contrasting straps that ooze street-style chic. The strappy design makes it incredibly versatile and customizable, making it the perfect bag for traveling.
During Mark’s NCT Dream days, his stylist always put him and the rest of the boys in knee-length sock for that cute school boy look. But now that he’s officially graduated from the sub-unit, it’s time to take the school boy charm down a notch.
Okay, maybe not a lot. I DO love the cute school boy aesthetic so I’ve opted to style the rapper with white socks featuring vibrant lettering. The socks are long enough to cover half of his calves and peek out of the high-top sneakers. It’s just a little less school boy and more street chic.
Far from simple, the white shoes have pastel blue lace detailing all over, bringing in a chic flair to the otherwise casual outfit.
