I have oily combination skin so I used to steer away from deep hydrating products because I was under the misconception that my skin would get even oilier. Now that I know better, I’m all about products that are packed with moisturizing ingredients. The YesStyle x MIZON Natural Hydrating Picks (Limited Edition) has five such products in one handy kit.
MIZON is known for their snail mucin-based skin care products that are equipped for all skin types – especially dry, aging and acne-prone skin. Some of the brand’s most sought after products are included in this kit so read on for my review:
Snail Repairing Foam Cleanser
I had my doubts about this cleanser since other foam cleansers I’ve tried completely strip my skin of its natural oils, leaving it clean, but not the kind of clean you should aim for. After one look at this cleanser’s ingredients, I knew this time was going to be different.
MIZON’s Snail Repairing Foam Cleanser has glycerin as one of its top three ingredients, meaning it hydrates the skin. It’s also formulated with papaya and green tea extracts which provide brightening and soothing benefits. This snail filtrate-powered cleanser provides a thorough yet gentle cleanse while also mildly exfoliating the skin.
You may only get 60ml of the foam cleanser but the price is pretty reasonable for the amount. I feel like the cleanser could last me up to six months, maybe even more, since you don’t need to use a lot every time. Just a pea-sized amount already creates a rich lather! It feels super relaxing to massage over my face and once I pat my skin dry, it definitely feels clean, moisturized and refreshed.
Snail Repair Eye Cream
I usually buy eye creams on a whim but I still haven’t built a habit of applying them every day – consider that one of my beauty resolutions for 2019. I’ve heard nothing but good things about the Snail Repair Eye Cream. Plenty of beauty enthusiasts seem to swear by it so I was really excited to try it out!
This eye cream comes in a small, sleek jar and contains a whopping 80% snail mucin to nourish and hydrate your precious lids. While the suggested amount to use for eye creams is normally a pea-sized amount, I find that even using half that is enough.
While I may not have dark circles (*touch wood*), I’ve noticed that my under eye areas can get quite dry, especially in winter. Using this religiously, particularly as part of my night time routine, really made a difference for the delicate skin around my eyes. Also, I sometimes pop the eye cream in the fridge for a few minutes before applying so it feels extra soothing.
All In One Snail Repair Cream
A routine is nothing without a good moisturizer and MIZON’s All In One Snail Repair Cream has easily become one of my favorites! The cream is popular among skin care junkies because it offers plenty of benefits – it’s basically skin care heaven in a jar.
I thought the eye cream’s 80% snail mucin was impressive but the repair cream contains 92%, which means it offers even deeper hydration. Aside from its moisturizing benefits, the repair cream helps fade acne scars, soften fine lines, even out skin’s texture and improve skin elasticity.
I prefer incorporating this cream during my night routine instead of my morning one since my skin benefits more from its anti-aging abilities overnight. Although it’s a rich cream, it has a lightweight texture that absorbs into skin easily. I initially thought that it would leave a tacky, sticky feeling after application but luckily, it doesn’t! I like how the cream doesn’t feel too heavy and leaves my skin plump and hydrated.
Enjoy Vital-Up Time Watery Moisture Mask and Enjoy Vital-Up Time Soothing Moisture Mask
I would use these sheet masks every day if I could, but my skin type won’t let me. My combination skin limits me to applying sheet masks only once a week. I used both masks on two separate Sunday nights – self-care is important for me so masking is a necessity, especially as a way to unwind after a long week.
The Enjoy Vital-Up Time Watery Moisture Mask restores moisture to skin while the Enjoy Vital-Up Time Soothing Moisture Mask soothes irritated and sensitive skin. It’s hard to pick my favorite between the two since both of them are great sheet masks! However, I do find that the Soothing Moisture Mask suits my skin more since it has soothing benefits that are perfect for my sensitive skin.
Both masks are packed with a blend of hydrating ingredients including allantoin, trehalose and hyaluronic acid. Also, they’re formulated with plant extracts which give them a pleasant scent; the Watery Moisture Mask contains green tea extracts while the Soothing Moisture Mask contains lavender extracts.
I highly recommend giving both of these masks a go – you can’t go wrong with either one!
