LadyKin Vanpir Dark Repair Cream Review

The YS Beauty Lab

I’ve always considered myself a practical person who doesn’t judge a book by its cover, but I fell in love with LadyKin’s Vanpir Repair Cream at first sight. If ever a male friend came to me and asked what to buy for his new girlfriend for Valentine’s Day, I’d definitely recommend this to him.

The packaging is some of the most sophisticated I’ve seen, rivaling the priciest high-end brands. The cream is contained in a thick opaque black glass jar with silver embossed writing and an adorable little pair of fangs. It also comes with a transparent spatula and a plastic cover under the screw lid to prevent the cream from drying out.

With an average rating of 4.4 out of 5 from the 57 YesStyle customer reviews plus a luxurious look, I expected this LadyKin bestseller to deliver. Did this product also deserve my high rating? Read on to find out my first impressions.

Texture: The cream is in an ivory color and looks like refined sorbet to me. It spreads on the skin easily without being too greasy or sticky. One light dab of the cream with your fingertip should be enough to cover the entire face.
Fragrance: It has a noticeably strong scent that fades away rather quickly. I doubt if everyone will like this aroma, but I find it quite enticing.
Irritation: I’m always skeptical about scented skincare for fear that it will cause breakouts. Luckily there were no irritations this time!
Moisturizing Effect: Just a small amount will be enough to keep your face hydrated. It’s especially soothing to apply the cream before sleeping on a winter night.
Brightening Effect: I’ve yet to see if it can reduce my acne spots, but I’m content with having silkier, more supple skin.

At around US$13 per 50ml, the cream is a real deal especially with the ongoing 20% off promotion on YesStyle, which lasts until the end of February. For those having extremely dry, sensitive skin like mine, I hope this will be your Holy Grail moisturizer!
