Annie’s Way Moisturizing Mask Set Review

The YS Beauty Lab

I hope you’ve already tried the Annie’s Way Brightening Jelly Mask. It’s by far the best product I’ve discovered since writing for the YesStyle Beauty Lab, not to mention the price is irresistibly cheap! The Arbutin Hyaluronic Acid Brightening Jelly Mask has earned 137 reviews from YesStyle customers, with an average rating of 4.5 stars. If you’re already a fan, it’s time to stock up, because YesStyle is having a promotion on the brand all through September! Please click here for details.

This time, I got my hands on the jelly mask’s sister product, the assorted paper masks. There are currently 8 different sets of Annie’s Way assorted paper masks available on YesStyle. Considering how effective hyaluronic acid was during my last trial with the jelly mask, I decided to choose a set that contains this magical ingredient. The Moisturizing Mask Set was my final choice.

Upon opening the mask set pack, I found 5 individual paper masks consisting of the following:

– Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating Mask
– Cactus Extract Hydrating Mask
– Cedarwood Moisturizing Mask
– Honey Deep Moisturizing Mask
– France Rose Moisturizing Mask

The instructions on the package suggest that I use the masks for seven consecutive days as a first-timer, followed by two to three times a week for effective results. Due to limited time, I only managed to try the Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating Mask, but that already made me fall in love with the product.

Inside each pearlescent package is a paper mask completely soaked in colorless watery serum. In fact, it took around 10 seconds before the mask ceased dripping serum as I pulled it out – and there was still around 5ml of serum left in the package afterwards.

I unfolded the mask carefully and pulled it away from the glossy plastic sheet attached to it. I realized that the mask was really thin. It was probably the thinnest sheet mask I’ve ever encountered. Nonetheless, it felt very soothing and nourishing as I placed it on my face. I experienced no irritations, only a cool sensation. The size generally fit well except that the nose flap was a bit too short.

Though the package claims that I only need to wait for 10 to 15 minutes before removing the mask, I prolonged the wait to an hour to ensure that most of the serum would be absorbed into my skin. I peeled the mask away and looked into the mirror – the whitening and moisturizing effect seemed no less powerful than most high-end paper masks. I felt my skin was more supple, softer and radiant.

Similar to the jelly mask, the paper mask also helps to soften whiteheads. I soon got rid of two whiteheads near my nose the following day. At US$9.81 per set, I can only conclude that Annie’s Way never fails to offer great value for money.
