2010-10-25Pink It with YesStyle: YesStyle Supports Breast Cancer Awareness
Monday, October 25, is a pink-letter day for online fashion retailer YesStyle as it launches the "Pink It with YesStyle" campaign to support breast cancer awareness and research. The campaign runs until November 30 on all YesStyle websites: YesStyle.com, YesStyle.com.au and YesStyle.com.hk.
The "Pink It with YesStyle" campaign will make a donation to Breakthrough Breast Cancer - the UK's leading charity dedicated to fighting breast cancer - by raising funds through online sales and interaction on Twitter. YesStyle will donate 10 percent of the proceeds from every pink women's product and also 10 cents for every retweet of "Pink It with YesStyle!", with a guaranteed donation of US$5000.
The campaign begins in October to coincide with Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and extends into November as YesStyle recognizes breast cancer is an important health topic for women at any time of the year. "The fight against breast cancer needs help from everyone," said Joshua Lau, CEO and founder of YesStyle. "YesStyle supports the drive to find a cure and we hope that the 'Pink It with YesStyle' campaign helps by making all our customers active partners in this initiative."
One of the most common causes of cancer death among women worldwide, breast cancer is found in one in twelve women over the age of 55 in the United States. In the United Kingdom and Australia, the statistic is one in nine women. While science is working towards a cure, prevention and early detection are still the key factors in fighting breast cancer. Accordingly, the "Pink It with YesStyle!" campaign aims to not only raise proceeds for charity, but also to raise awareness through participation.
With the majority of its shoppers being women, YesStyle strives to take an active role promoting breast cancer awareness. By participating in the "Pink It with YesStyle!" campaign, YesStyle's fans and customers can support an important global cause, and help spread a positive message in the battle against breast cancer.
