Organized by SM Entertainment, a premier South Korea entertainment group whose artists include BoA and Super Junior, SM Town is an annual concert tour previously staged in Asian cities such as Shanghai and Bangkok.

Held in either the summer or winter, each SM Town is accompanied by an album featuring songs by stars on the tour. This year's SM Town adds Los Angeles, its first non-Asian city, to its schedule as the second stop after the tour kicks off in Seoul. After Los Angeles, the tour continues to Shanghai and Tokyo. The Los Angeles concert will be held at the Staples Center on September 4, 2010, with a star-studded line-up in attendance, including BoA, Girls' Generation, Super Junior, Max, U-Know, f(x), Kang Ta, SHINee and Trax.
